Current research tells us introducing foods that commonly cause allergies “early and often” can help train the immune system to recognize these foods and chill out on the offensive strike that results in food allergy symptoms. Nuts like cashews are a common allergen so dishes like cashew queso are the perfect way to get creative and serve them “early and often”.
Aside from telling the immune system who’s boss, cashews have lots of healthy unsaturated fats and protein to keep bellies full and nutrients like vitamin E, potassium, and magnesium that are often lacking in the diet.
Dips can be a game-changer to get kids to eat other healthy foods as well. Serve your cashew queso with veggies and see what happens!
¾ - 1 cup water
1 cup cashews
4 Tbs salsa

1 Tbs minced garlic
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
